Nuweentooun School, Exeter, Rhode Island
Nuweentooun School is commited to creating an experiential, integrated, and collaborative learning environment in which to develop well-rounded, enthusiastic and self-motivated learners. Most importantly the students learn to honor others, honor themselves, honor the earth and honor spirit.

The program at Nuweentooun integrates core educational curriculum standards with a concentration on Environmental Education and Native Culture and History. A large focus is placed on the Native Heritage of New England.

The goal is to create a positive environment that will allow children to flourish in today's world with confidence, self-esteem, competence, perspective, initiative, imagination and purpose.

New England Task Force Update

June 2008: The volunteer day was a HUGE success! A team of 50 volunteers from Collette Vacations, Tauck World discovery and the Sullivan Family gathered together and transformed Nuweetooun. CLICK HERE to see the photos from the day!

 

April 2008: Having just chosen their project the New England Task Force is planning a day of work at the Nuweentooun School. Using their funding to put down new flooring, paint the school inside and out and landscape; the team has looked to the Collette employees and the Sullivan family to assist in the work day!
