Knysna Educational Trust
The Knysna Educational Trust was formed with the mission to ensure that each child has at least one hot meal daily, and is given proper pre-school care that will allow them to be on par with others upon entering primary school. The Trust aims to protect these children from the burdens of physical and mental abuse, and ultimately HIV by giving them care in a safe and positive environment.

The Trust supports 29 preschools in the Knynsa Township area. With the support of the Collette Foundation and others the Trust is able to educate their preschool teachers, enhance the schools with running water, windows, etc, as well as provide one nutritious meal per day to each child.
South Africa Task Force Update
January 2008: Members of the South Africa Task Force and others visited the township in Knysna and saw first hand the improvements that had been made at Eyethu. During their afternoon they spent some time in the garden, helping to pick vegetables.
September 2007: The Task Force has chosen Eyethu Preschool for their funding. Eyethu will receive new flooring, paint, improvements to the exterior, new mattresses, tables, chairs and more. This is going to bring Eyethu up to the model preschool standard.
August 2007: The South Africa Task Force has proposed funding to install chalkboards in each of the 29 preschools in the Knysna Educational Trust network.

Meet the Task Force
Derek Moscarelli is a member of the Task Force and is also a Tour Manager at Collette Vacations. Derek leads tours to all seven continents.
Tracey Conlon is the Ambassador for the South African Task Force. Aside from her role in the Collette Foundation Tracey is the Director of Product at Collette Vacations.
Tracy Finch is a member of the Task Force. Tracy resides in Connecticut and is a District Sales Manager for Collette Vacations. Tracy was a participant in the January Hippo Water Roller delivery!
